This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I couldn't wait to get it, put it together and find a great spot for it. Problem is, I haven't found a great spot for it...and I am very saddened by that. It won't fit in my kitchen - too many windows or doorways, my foyer is not big enough because nothing besides the cabinet would fit. My den is not practical, my office is too small - and no matter the room you put it in, it seems like you cannot utilize all the very cool assets. I was even hoping to put it in my bedroom for hanging things on the hooks and use of the mirror, but that's a no-go too. Really bummed. I plan to keep it, but right now it's a very heavy object taking up space. One more thing, you also have to allow for turning it around so a corner or small wall would be best. Otherwise, the packaging was great and the product is very well made. My husband put it together in about 45 minutes - he is very handy. NOTE TO SELF if you purchase this (I read about this in one of the other reviews and still did it anyway) make sure the holes for the hooks are at the TOP of the cabinet when you are putting it together. My husband did not notice that until he went to put on the hooks, and they were at the bottom of the cabinet, and the instructions do not mention anything about the hooks and to put the board with the holes near the top. Otherwise I highly recommend this cabinet. I bought black and it is really pretty. The base of my unit had MINOR scrapes of the paint from the wood, but nothing that a black marker or shoe polish wouldn't fix super easy. Nothing broken or missing. I did have styrofoam everywhere but better that then damaged goods. In the meantime, I am still looking for that perfect spot in my house.

I love this product bc I bought one for my daughter and it works/looks great! I ordered this second one for another daughter for Christmas but decided to wait until her birthday so just opening today. The top piece is broken. Would like to replace just that piece.

Nice, dual purpose shelf that's perfect for our space! I was surprised with how heavy duty this piece is. My husband and son were not happy with the instructions though, and the top and bottom pieces came with a bit of damage that I will need to cover with paint. Still cant believe I paid $360 but it's what I needed and it will last for many years to come.

Poor quality. Came with numerous chips, cracks etc. I thought that my experience was unusual until I read the rest of the reviews here. The unit is too heavy to send back so we put it together and patched up the cracks etc as best we could. Also, the directions leave something to be desired. Compared to IKEA mechandise that you have to put together this does not even come close.

I have been eyeing this piece for years. It is a VERY large piece and I highly recommend you put it together in or near the room you would like it to go. We had to carry it up 2 flights of stairs. The bad: I would have given it 5 stars but there were several "defects" with the finish. The bottom of the adjustable shelves were only painted once. You can see the wood through the thin layer of paint. There were a few chips in the base. From inside the unit the top piece is discolored. It looks like a yellow stain. Again, this piece isn't finished well. Most of the finish is double coated except the pieces I mentioned. The Good... It is beautiful. Well packaged. It swivels very easy. The mirror and cork board are perfect. The hooks on the back are strong. Overall, it's a solid piece of furniture that will last for a long time. Just wish they considered finishing all pieces with a double coat. Even though it is the bottom of these pieces, they are still visible.

The bookcase is good, sturdy and it looks elegant. However, one of the pieces was cracked from end to end, I am guessing it was mishandled as the box looks like it was hit. "Good" thing the problem was with the top part of the bookcase which will not support most of the weight. Other than that, the bookcase is good. I called Amazon and they provided good support and a reasonable solution. The vendor must mark the box as Heavy so the handlers are aware and can move it or transport it properly.

Practical, multipurpose, nice piece of furniture. Sure, you could buy separate pieces cheap, but it would look cheap and take more space. This looks good and is solid. Assembly was easy except the base (tiny picture in instructions hard to tell and moving swivel base is just part of the job). Plan to leave extra room around it to have room to turn it.

Just recieved item today the packaging looks good but I already seen damages so it’s not the packaging or delivery. It has to be either a returned item or damaged during production so not happy but I haven’t finished taking all the parts out of the box yet.
