eVogues Women's Stripe Maxi Stretch Dress Black

Vixen alert :D This dress almost literally hugged my larger hourglass body. I read other reviews prior to buying and knew to size up -- i got the 3x (!) and it fit great. I selected "somewhat small" for the fit so that others can know to also order up. I'm usually more of an XL. The dress is stretchy, so it didn't gape much at all at my small waist. Neither did it look stretched out across my non-small butt. Very nice.I wasn't a huge fan of the stripe pattern -- it's very distinctly black and white, and doesn't have the "gray from afar" effect I got from the pictures here. It would be perfect if instead of stripes, it was a solid dark blue in the center, for example. I ended up returning, but only because the dress is a real attention-grabber and I tend to be more modest for some reason. The quality and feel of the dress were very good for the price.

When I think maxi, I want it to the floor. This was lower calf on me and I am 5"5i/2 so I cropped it and made a skirt and top out of it.Cant say I am not please or displeased, but glad I used points to buy most of the price of it and not out right paid for all. After hanging in the closet for months because I need MAXI to the ground dresses. I pulled it out and cropped the top off to make a mid drift top and skirt out of it. I sewed a pair of leggings to make the skirt longer looking and put a black shirt under it. I wore it for a Christmas party and everyone loves it on me. I am a size 14/16 and it always fit perfect except for the length. Now after I fiddled with it, it is one of my fav dresses!

This dress looks exactly like the picture. It's a very nice dress. I normally wear a XL (16) in my dresses. I ordered the 3x it fits just right however you can see my stomach it does show everything. You can wear a girdle or waist cincher with the dress to help flatten the stomach. I am 5'3 and the dress is perfect as far as length goes. I think this dress works well for curvy girls just slap on a girdle and you will look sexy!!!

This dress fit my curves to a T without hugging too tight. I'm usually an 18 so according to the size chart I bought a 3X due to the junior sizing. I wore it out to dinner and dancing and do not think I have been danced with or bought drinks more in the past 2 years! The dress was definitely a success!

The reviews are accurate. You need to buy 2 sizes bigger than your size. It's a nice dress, good fabric and well made. I'm 5'8" and it fell right above my ankles. The color blocking helps give the illusion of curves.

I was so excited about this dress but had to send it back. I'm typically a 2X and that was way too tight on my stomach and did not fit my chest right at all. Otherwise the dress looked like it was supposed to and seemed like decent quality. I was definitely bummed to have to send it back.

This dress was very cute. I thought it was rather sexy. I have found that clothes from this company runs small, and requires you to get one to two sizes larger than what you may normally wear. I really like the dress, so I returned the first one and reordered it in a larger size.

No idea who this dress is made for - there is no plus-sized gal who needs to be poured into a striped dress. If it were cut to fit actual measurements, it might be a great dress - the black side panels could have a slimming effect with the right drape. Fabric is substantial and it seemed to be well-made....but then again, it has to be if the designer expects customers to pour themselves into it. I didn't have expectations of it making me look like a size 6, or even a 10, but this was almost an insult.
