Safety 1st Furniture Wall Straps, 8 Count

These work exactly as described. They were easy to install for someone who is NOT a handyman. I wish there was a better method for tightening the strap after they are installed; it's hard to get your hands back there behind the bookshelf/desk/whatever to pull on the strap. Other than that, these definitely did the trick. I can put my body weight (215 lbs) into trying to pull these off and they don't budge.

My daughter in law wanted something to keep my near to be walking granddaughter from pulling their tables over on her as she's starting to pull up. This was easy to apply and seems to work well, just attach to the wall and table, very sturdy.

We have a new baby, and live in Souther California - earthquake central so I wanted something that secures my furniture to the wall. The most important thing for me was to prevent the tipping over of a dresser and a large Ikea unit. I do have to complain about the screws, they are absolutely terrible and will strip very very easily. My suggestion is get rid of these screws, replace them with standard wood screws because even with pilot holes - they strip. Once I used by own hardware, installation was a breeze and and I feel very comfortable with the straps secured to the studs and to the units.

These wall straps seem to do their job well, as they securely attach furniture to the wall. They installed easily enough, and I didn't have any problem with how well they work. I have a problem with how they arrived and a seeming issue with quality control. This product arrives as 4 separate packages, each containing 2 straps. Every one of the 4 packages was open. Two of them were only partially opened, and the other 2 were completely opened. In addition, the screws were problematic. Not all of the screws matched, and 1 of them was totally unusable (the indentation where you would stick the screw driver head was filled in, so you couldn't use a screw driver with it). We had extra screws on hand, so we solved the problem, but we shouldn't have to find our own.

These have worked out great for us so far. Definitely you need a drill bit and you need to drill holes into your studs before you attempt to bolt these to the wall or furniture. One time I didn't drill the hole far enough into the stud beforehand, so the screw head got stripped out when I tried to screw in the regular screw. Otherwise they seem pretty great. They are plastic but seem sturdy enough when the straps are taught between the furniture and wall

I ordered these wall straps after we had a very scary incident with our 2-year-old daughter. We found her in her room with her dresser tipped on top of her. She had pulled out all the drawers and the dresser fell on top of her. Thankfully she was okay, other than a little bump on her head. I started researching the issue and found these straps. This set came with enough straps to securely attach two dressers to the wall. My husband installed them quickly and we have been using them for several weeks now. The dresser seems very sturdily attached to the wall and we have not had any more tipping issues.

On the surface, the installation and use of the product seem easy, which is why I chose this product. Last night, while installing them to secure a toy shelf, I noticed a glaring problem. Because of the material of the book shelf, I had to connect the furniture mount to the top of the book case. The instructions state this is fine. However, after installation, the straps would loosen all the way upon pulling down on the shelf. This renders the product virtually useless. We finally figured out that if we tightened the strap all the way where we wanted it, and then flipped the furniture bracket over, and then installed it, that it would hold the tension. Wish the instructions would have given us a heads up on that......Didn't like how we had to self engineer a solution, but so far they are serving their purpose.

Great Product! Works as advertised. Remember to screw them into a stud or use a tapcon for concrete.

Easy to install with clear instructions. I especially like that you can unhook the straps easily if you need to move the furniture for cleaning or whatever reason.

I like that the straps come apart to move furniture. I don't like how easy the straps slip through the bucket, allowing the furniture to start tipping before it catches, resulting in anything on top still falling.
