Wonderful and really really really sharp.
I have tried to replace my "go to" knife many times and have always been very disappointed. My knife is a Robinson 5" serrated utility knife with a point, made in the USA. For 45 years I have used it for most everything. I have sharpened it so often there is very little serration left. Now it won't hold an edge. The replacements I tried had such a stiff, thick blade, it was more like using a saw blade. I bought this Victorinox on a whim and I think I can retire my old Robinson knife to a place of honor in my kitchen. It trims meat, cuts vegetables and bread. My old friend was so old I guess I didn't remember what a really sharp knife was like. This is really, really sharp. It has a bit of flex so I feel I can control it. (I don't mean that it bends, it just has the right feel.) I might have made the handle more beefy but thats my old age speaking, not a big issue.I have some old paring knives that I am looking at with a more critical eye. They don't have sentiment going for them...its time to go.In addition, nowhere on the knife does it say made in china. If I could only have one knife and it couldn't be an exact replica of my Robinson, this knife would be my choice.

Best I've found for the money!
2nd purchase of these knives and can't be more pleased. I purchased one to check out the quality and sharpness and was very pleased. Recently ordered two more so one's always handy. I guess these knives are considered "steak knives" but I use them for general food prep. Just the right amount of flex, sharp as all get out and a comfortable handle. Seems to hold the sharp edge and for how long, I don't know as I've had the first one for about a year and it's still sharp.Again, great utensil, well made and very inexpensive for the quality.

Kitchen Necessity
Love this knife! The serated blade is super good for things like tomatoes that tend to get squished with a normal knife. The only bad thing is that it does dull a bit over time and you can sharpen it since it's seated, but I'd day it's definitely worth the money even if it doesn't last forever!

Wonderfully efficient steak knives - great price too!
I received six Victirinox serrated utility knives amongst a big box of kitchen tools/gadgets from my cousin in Switzerland as a wedding present more than 20 years ago. They've never needed sharpening and to this day are still as sharp as when they were new. I bought this pair of 4-1/2in steak knives (slightly longer than my old ones) because I totally trust the superb quality of Victorinox knives. They may not look as pretty as other higher priced brands but they perform just as well and didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

Quality serrated knife
This is my second time purchasing this knife because it is so handy and I wanted another one to save as a backup. The knife is super sharp, lightweight and a perfect size to cut through Kaiser rolls and tomatoes. I've had it for two years and use it daily. Highly recommend.

Item not as described
While it is a nice Victorinox knife, the knife is 8.5" long, not 10" as described. I ordered this knife specifically because it said it was 10". I may be sending it back.

You're going to love this!
These have always been a favorite steak knife for us. They are always super sharp and will cut seamlessly through any food - no sawing needed - one cut, done! They are great as a paring knife too. I learned about these knives as the deck crew on the fishing vessels wouldn't be without them. They religiously keep them in a sheath on their belt and you'll see them on every fishing vessel in Alaska, where I worked for 20 years! They never seem to get dull - amazing knives!
