Wine Enthusiast Individual Decanters, Set of 4

These small decanters hold a 6 oz. pour when filled to approximately 1" from the rim. Because of their shape it is easy to pour the liquid from this decanter to another glass. The design and construction of the decanters is on the inexpensive side, not the elegant design you might expect from Wine Enthusiast. With that said, they are perfectly functional and will allow you to pour 4 equal glasses of wine from a standard wine bottle, which is why I bought them.

We bought these as a helpful control to too much yummy wine. It's very easy to over indulge with the entire bottle at the table. So, I bought these and they work great. You tend to savor the amount in the decanter rather than do extra pours from the bottle. I know, it's just a psychological slight of hand, but it adds some fun to the dining experience.

I was looking for a decanter that would hold 1/4 standard bottle, about 6 oz (187.5 ml). The product description does not give the size, but several "answered questions" said the picture, filled just to the shoulder, appears to hold 5-6 oz. A reviewer describes using them as "just right" for splitting a bottle four ways for tasting. But when I got mine, I found that even filled exactly to the rim they hold only about 180 ml. This would be OK if you are serving a happy-hour sized 4 oz pour, but I will have to send them back. I wonder if they have changed the size since some of the reviews and answered questions were written?

Love these mini-decanters. Will use them for an upcoming party - as a part of a Bloody Mary DIY Bar. Will place optional ingredients for the cocktails, olive juice, pickle juice, lemon juice... In a regular basis they will be used for wine!

These little decanters are so neat! I used them at a small dinner party and had to order more sets because my guests wanted them, too. They are also handy. I sometimes would like a glass of wine upstairs but I never want to drag a bottle with me. These little decanters are the answer. They are more stable to carry than a stemmed glass and filled they equal 2 or 3 glasses of wine.

I ordered these for my daughter's wedding for a wine ceremony they were including in the nuptials. I only needed two, but ordered four just in case. Good thing I did, because one came broken. Other than that, they were perfect for the intended use.

Arrived the next day, all in order. Unlike other reviews none of the pieces were broken or damaged in any way. These are exactly as described and are perfect for single servings of wine. Went of a winery tour recently in British Columbia and noticed that all of the restaurants were serving their wine in the individual decanters and allowing you to pour it into your wine glass. This also lets the wine breath and you do get another small chance to smell the great features of the wine you selected. A great feature for anyone serving wine to guests in their home.
