DW-BX Digital Pocket Scales, 600g x 0.1g

I bought this a couple years ago and the thing is still going strong. Don't you hate it when people buy something and they rush right in and write a review before even using it. "Oh the box looks good, it came right on time, blah blah blah".I like to use a product for a while before reviewing, after all durability is a major issue these days, especially electronics. I haven't used this scale daily, and been pretty careful with it, so couldn't tell you if its tough as nails, but its lasted this long and I just checked its accuracy and its still right on time.I'm impressed with the quality/price, I paid $17.99, and paid far more in the past for comparable quality.

So handy to have. I bought this about a year ago because I have to send a lot of envelopes with more than 4 sheets of paper for work. I was tired of running to the post office every few days to determine postage, or of just doubling the postage to be on the safe side. Now I have an accurate weight and put the postage on myself at home, which is much more efficient and cost-effective. This works well for legal sized envelopes, but if you're looking for a scale for large manilla envelopes (e.g. for 9 x 12 inches) this won't work as the screen will be blocked by the envelope.

I bought this a couple months ago to weigh packages from my etsy shop. It weighs in ounces, which is what I use, but has multiple options so it works well for weighing almost anything in different modes. I like that its protective cover doubles as a tray for measuring things likes liquids. Its great for its price.

This scale is much smaller than I thought it would be. Other reviewers mentioned this size issue, but I thought I bought a different one. Since I didn't need a scale that could fit in my handbag and I wanted it for my workshop, I thought I would return it. But after using it I was quite pleased, and so far it has been fine for my needs (making ceramic glaze tests). Easy to use and easy to read.

So far, this item appears to work as advertised. It's a 600-g scale. It measures quickly to 0.1 g.The problem with it is that the clear cover (also used as weighing tray) arrived with a substantial crack from one corner and more than halfway across and nearly halfway down.

It has puzzled me for a long time, that so many things are reviewed positively by some people and negatively by others, and it has made me wonder if all those different people are even talking about the same thing, and it has also made me remember that some have claimed that the negative reviews are written by people who work for a different company that makes a similar product. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's something to consider.This little scale has worked perfectly for me. It seems to be solidly constructed, I find nothing flimsy or physically unworthy about it. It is advertised as having been calibrated at the factory, and I take their word for that, though I will probably get into calibration later. I just like to do things like that.One thing I would mention, some have said correctly that if you want to weigh a manila envelope and its contents, that when the envelope is lying on the tray it hangs over and you can't see the display so you can't see the weight. I happen to have a plastic drinking cup, 4 inches high, 2 inches base, 3 inches diameter at the top. Sits comfortably on the base, manila envelope balances easily on the top, there's plenty of space to see the display and read the weight. Something to think about.

This scale is exactly as described and the other reviewers didn't steer me wrong. I sell quite a bit on ebay, mostly little items, so I didn't need a powerhouse of a scale.It seems to be very accurate, I weighed some items with the new scale and took them to the post office to check against their scale, and there was zero discrepancy. No more trips to the post office for me!It came with 2 AAA batteries that as other reviewers have said don't last very long, but if you take them out between uses, you'll be fine. I ordered my scale on Sunday, March 2nd, and it arrived earlier today, which was awesome.

I use for weighing coins. Love it!
